Dr. Corbit earned the Bachelor of Science degree from Hamilton College in 1963 and the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1967. He completed a medical internship at the Medical College of Virginia in 1968 and served as a physician in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1970. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center in 1973 and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Corbit is chairman of the Physician Advisory Committee to the N.H. Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation, and was instrumental in the development of the Lions Eye Clinic located in Manchester, NH, providing free eye care to financially disadvantaged people in our state. Additionally, he conducts a monthly free eye care clinic at the New Horizons facility in Manchester.
Dr. Corbit is married and has three grown children. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and sailing and is a performer in the Manchester Choral Society and the New Hampshire Friendship Chorus.
